My
Classes
Multisensory learning is an important teaching approach for online classes. It helps students to learn and retain information more effectively by engaging multiple senses.

There are many ways to incorporate multi-sensory learning into online classes. I use visual aids, such as images, videos, and diagrams, to help students understand new concepts. I also use auditory aids, such as audio recordings and songs, to help students learn new information. Additionally, I have students move around and manipulate objects to help them learn and retain information.

Keeping Students Engaged
Online teaching has become increasingly reliant on technology, with many platforms and applications resembling video games. This can lead to student disengagement, as students are constantly bombarded with technology outside of the classroom. To increase student engagement, I use low-tech methods, such as letter tiles and the document camera, to create a more personal and interactive learning experience.

Avoid Game Apps
Playing games with students in person can help to increase their engagement and confidence. When students play games with their teacher, they have the opportunity to interact with the teacher and with each other. This can help to build relationships and create a more positive learning environment. Additionally, playing games with students can help to improve their social skills and problem-solving skills.

No more online trouble
While Go Noodle can be a great resource for large groups of students, it may not be as effective for one-on-one instruction. I recently experienced technical difficulties when using Go Noodle with a single student, and it was difficult to transition back to the lesson after completing the activity.
